3. Device Permissions (Desktop, Android & iOS Apps)

To provide seamless mobile POS terminal, barcode scanning, and document printing functionality, our Android, iOS, Desktop, and Web applications may request the following platform permissions:

• Camera Permission: Used solely when you actively trigger barcode / QR code scanning for quick product lookup or POS checkout. We do not capture, record, or store live video streams.
• Storage / Files Access: Used to generate, export, save, and download vector PDF invoices, Excel spreadsheets, PNG snapshots, or attach business logos.
• Bluetooth / Network Printer Access: Used to discover and connect to thermal ESC/POS receipt printers and network laser printers for physical invoice printing.
• Internet & Network State: Used to sync transactions in real-time with the cloud server and detect offline/online status.

4. How We Use Your Information

We process your data strictly for legitimate operational purposes, including:

• Delivering, operating, maintaining, and updating our cloud invoicing, inventory, and ledger engine;
• Compiling PDF invoices, estimates, delivery challans, and generating WhatsApp/Email share links;
• Calculating tax summaries, HSN distributions, and multi-godown stock valuations;
• Authenticating login sessions, verifying OTPs, and enforcing role-based staff access permissions;
• Detecting, preventing, and mitigating fraudulent logins, security breaches, and platform abuse;
• Transmitting service updates, security advisories, and subscription expiration notices.

5. Log Files, Cookies & Telemetry

Bill Way follows industry-standard logging protocols. Our edge servers record log files when visitors interact with the service. These records include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, device platform (Android / iOS / Windows / macOS / Web), browser user agent, date/time stamps, session durations, and request routes. This telemetry is used exclusively for server performance monitoring, system diagnostics, and security audits.

Cookies: We use strictly essential session cookies and local storage tokens to preserve your dark/light theme choice, active business selection, and authentication status. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may prevent logging into your account.

6. Third-Party Integrations & Sub-Processors

When you opt into specialized integrations, data required to execute the transaction is transmitted securely to authorized sub-processors:

• WhatsApp & Communication Providers: To dispatch invoices via WhatsApp or SMS, party phone numbers and formatted invoice URLs are processed in compliance with respective messaging guidelines.
• Government & GST Portals: When generating E-Way Bills or E-Invoices, document payloads are transmitted to the National Informatics Centre (NIC) / GSTN as instructed by the user.
• Cloud Storage & Infrastructure: Encrypted databases and CDN edge caches hosted with enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure providers.

JANVI PACKAGING does not authorize third-party sub-processors to utilize your private data for any independent promotional purpose.

7. Payment Processing & Financial Non-Escrow Disclaimer

Zero Direct Financial Handling:

Bill Way is exclusively a documentation and invoicing tool. We do not store your credit card numbers, CVVs, debit card PINs, or UPI MPINs on our servers. All subscription payments and merchant payment gateway transactions are handled directly by RBI-authorized Payment Aggregators and Banks.

Bill Way does not act as an escrow agent, collection authority, or financial guarantor for customer payments received on invoices generated via the platform.

8. India DPDP Act 2023 & GDPR Data Protection Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you possess explicit data rights:

• Right to Access: You can request a summary of your personal and business records processed on our platform.
• Right to Correction & Updation: You can modify or complete inaccurate business, GSTIN, or personal details at any time via Account Settings.
• Right to Data Portability: You can export your full parties, items, and sales invoices into standard PDF and Excel formats.
• Right to Erasure: You can request account termination and data deletion, subject to mandatory statutory retention rules under Indian Tax Laws (e.g. 7-year record retention requirements under Section 36 of CGST Act).

9. Global Privacy Standards & CCPA (California)

We adhere to global privacy principles. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and international consumer protection standards:

• We explicitly affirm that we DO NOT sell, rent, or exchange personal information to third parties for monetary consideration.
• Users retain the right to request disclosure of categories of data processed.
• We provide non-discriminatory service access regardless of privacy preference requests.

10. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain user data for the duration of your active subscription and as necessary to fulfill legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory compliance obligations.

Upon receipt of a verified account closure request from the primary account owner, your account will be deactivated and active credentials purged within thirty (30) days, except where retention is legally mandated by government or tax authorities.

11. Children's Information (18+ / 13+ Strict Policy)

Bill Way is an enterprise B2B and retail commercial management tool designed for businesses and authorized adults (18 years and older). We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact our Grievance Desk immediately, and we will promptly remove such records.

JANVI PACKAGING implements robust administrative, technical, and physical safeguards:
